Families of Historic Columbian Cemetery

Clara Pansy Edwards

Born: December 4, 1886
Where: Jefferson Co., PA
Died: January, 10 1973

Clara Pansy was born December 4, 1886 in Jefferson Co, PA, the second child of Edward Henry and Jennie Snoddy Hipple. Her parents were also born in PA. Their eldest child Della, is buried at Lone Fir Cemetery in Portland. She had no children. Other siblings were Edgar Lawrence b. September 1889, who drowned June 19 1909 near Stevens, WA; Mary married William O Duncan and had two sons, Frederick O and Harvey S; and 3 unknown children who likely died as infants.

Edward and Jennie divorced and each remarried, Jennie to Steven Turner in 1904 at Stevens, WA, Edward to Mary Dwyer in 1904 at Spokane, WA. Clara married Francis Henry Mann in 1902 when she was 16, her husband was 19 years her senior. They had four children - Hiram, Charles {who died as an infant}, Clara and Francis Henry. Clara died in Portland in January 10 1973, with the services handled by the Little Chapel of the Chimes. She was married to William Edwards before 1940. Details on Mr. Edwards are unknown, along with most of Clara's life between 1910 and her death.
