A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002, in Bateman Carroll Funeral Chapel for Margaret "Berniece" Beavers, who died Dec. 8 at age 80.
Margaret Keegan was born Jan. 18, 1922, in Scotland, S.D. A homemaker, she moved in 1962 to Portland and worked as a hotel housekeeper. In 1943, she married Bill; he died in 1972.
Survivors include her sons, Bill, Dan, Gary, Dennis and Tim; daughters, Shirley Cox and Barbara Burris; brothers, Walter Keegan and Robert Keegan; sisters, Ruth Blachnik and Beatrice Buettner; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Her son Ron died earlier.
